New River Fine Art would like to give a huge "THANK YOU" to all our collectors, patrons, colleagues, friends, and family who attended the opening weekend events for the "HUNT SLONEM: Through the Looking Glass” exhibition at New River Fine Art.
While Hunt Slonem may be a new name to many of our collectors, this American artist’s career and legacy are legendary. Considered one of the great colorists of his time, Slonem’s Neo-Expressionist paintings have been collected by an astounding 85 museums internationally, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY; Prado Museum; Madrid; The Whitney Museum of American Art, NY and the Guggenheim Museum, NY to name but a few.
In "Through the Looking Glass", Slonem achieves a new level of mischievous maturity, evolving beyond the painterly renditions of his favorite flora and fauna. He embarks on a journey that explore eccentric airs of contemporary art making venturing into uncharted mediums and sculptural fabrications. From the appealing realm of glass and the soft aura of polished bronze to the glow of neon, Slonem translates his beloved bunnies into 21st Century Pop.

Hunt Slonem could have partnered with any of the numerous museums or galleries he has worked with to introduce his new media. We at New River Fine Art are honored and humbled to have been awarded this unique opportunity to unveil his new work here in Ft. Lauderdale and on a world-wide stage.
In this uniquely challenging time, we hope you can come to the gallery to see this exhibition in person, but if you find yourself at home, please contact your New River representative for online or private viewing options. Kind Regards, The New River Fine Art Team
