Women's History Month is celebrated each March and recognizes the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society.

In celebration, @NewRiverFineArt would like to spotlight our accomplished and skillful women artists.

Today's Artist, Estella Fransbergen, is an international sculptor whose works put a focus on elegance, femininity, and the female form.

Fransbergen’s inspiration for her art comes from mother nature. To highlight the beauty of mother nature, each naked torso is adorned in a shower of natural gemstones and other organic materials. Each sculpture is built by hand using a coil building technique, before being exposed to primitive firing techniques of sawdust and raku. Fransbergen’s one of a kind pieces celebrate both human form and individuality.
